Mount Magica | Magical Experience in Ranchi

Mount Magica is a farmhouse located in Tatisilwai, about 25 kilometres away from the Capital of Jharkhand, Ranchi. Overall it was a fun and entertaining experience. The resort charged us on a per-head basis for the entire package and it was all worth it. It is a great getaway for a day near Ranchi where you don’t need to bring anything for a picnic, rather just reach the spot and enjoy the nature, surroundings and in-house games. It was a memorable day and we all loved and really enjoyed the Sunday outing. Continue reading Mount Magica | Magical Experience in Ranchi

Netarhat | Queen of Chotanagpur

Encircled by low hills, forests and hilly springs, Netarhat nestles like a secret refuge in the heart of Jharkhand. Once home to several tribes, the hills caught the fancy of the British rulers who converted it into a hill station. Then dubbed as the ‘Queen of Chotanagpur’, the hill station has moved far beyond its colonial days. Now known for its natural beauty. It is a plateau covered with thick forest. It’s around 150 km from Ranchi, the state capital of Jharkhand. Continue reading Netarhat | Queen of Chotanagpur

Tarangambadi | The Land of Singing Waves

Tarangambadi is the land of singing waves in Tamil Nadu, India. The place dates back to the 14th century. From 1620 to 1845 it was a Danish settlement ruled by Governors, till the British took over its administration. Tarangambadi became Tranquebar for the Danes. It’s the place where the first printing press was established in India. The beach in Tarangambadi has been identified as the one of the most Ozone-rich beaches in the world by various studies conducted by the Danes in 1960’s and Indian researchers. This place has an ancient Shiva temple, churches, fort, museums, and a tranquil beach where sea waves sing. This is a nice place for a quick getaway in South India. Gopalpur-on-sea | Perfect Winter Destination

Gopalpur is the perfect place for holidays. During the days of Kalingas, this place was known as the port of Paloura from which traders sailed as far as Java, Bali and Sumatra and piled up wealth dealing in silk and pearl. Later Gopalpur regained its importance to maritime trade during British colonial rule. It was a transit point to export sugar and cheap labourers for the tea gardens of Assam in north-eastern India. Today it survives on fishing as its main industry, and a pristine beach with unforgettable views of the sunrise. Continue reading Gopalpur-on-sea | Perfect Winter Destination
